A perfect duo
Pierre Boonen, the father – who runs the centre in Brussels – has always made it a point of honour to offer the best possible service to his customers. He has consistently invested in the research and development of new products.
As for his son, Sébastien, he learned from the best and trained on the job. Now running the centre in Genval, he is the very embodiment of youth and breathes enthusiasm into Monsieur Pneus. The successor is in place, in it for the long haul!

Our history
Rond-Point Pneumatique was founded in 1952 in Brussels. This large tyre station was located in an area of the city now famous around the world: Schuman, the seat of the EU institutions.
1952The Common Market set up in the Berlaymont Building, and the family business moved just a short distance from Schuman, to avenue de Roodebeek in Schaerbeek. At the time, the station had 7 car lifts and 1 alignment station. Step by step, it grew to include 4 additional fitting stations. It also signed a exclusive distribution contract for all Auto 5 tyres.
1960Marcel Demoulin, the founder of the business, bought the company Interpneu.
1973And in turn, Pierre Boonen bought Interpneu.
1985Pierre Boonen founded a sales subsidiary, which he set up on avenue Dailly (also in Schaerbeek) under the name Tyrimex.
1989The famous Monsieur Pneus logo, with the photo of Pierre Boonen, was born, creating an immediate buzz.
1996Interpneu and Tyrimex merged and together moved to the current site in Brussels at avenue Léonard Mommaerts in Evere.
This new location had 12 car lifts, one alignment station and around 300 m2 of storage space for customers’ tyres.
2002The Evere centre gained a second alignment station.
2005Monsieur Pneus set up a Tyre Hotel opposite the centre in Evere. Now with over 3,000 m2 of storage space, we could store up to 50,000 tyres for customers.
2013Sébastian Boonen joined in and purchased the location in Genval from his father, Pierre.
2016Monsieur Pneus now has two ideal locations in Brussels and Genval.
The centre in Brussels has 24 car lifts and 2 alignment stations, while the one in Genval has 8 car lifts and 1 alignment station.
With around 30 employees, our tightly knit team who are always receiving additional training can offer a high quality service and expert advice.
