Our history<\/h2>[mvc_timeline_father size=”22″ clr=”#ffffff”][mvc_timeline_son date=”1952″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]Rond-Point Pneumatique was founded in 1952 in Brussels. This large tyre station was located in an area of the city now famous around the world: Schuman, the seat of the EU institutions.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”1960″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]The Common Market set up in the Berlaymont Building, and the family business moved just a short distance from Schuman, to avenue de Roodebeek in Schaerbeek. At the time, the station had 7 car lifts and 1 alignment station. Step by step, it grew to include 4 additional fitting stations. It also signed a exclusive distribution contract for all Auto 5 tyres.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”1973″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]Marcel Demoulin, the founder of the business, bought the company Interpneu.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”1985″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]And in turn, Pierre Boonen bought Interpneu.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”1989″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]Pierre Boonen founded a sales subsidiary, which he set up on avenue Dailly (also in Schaerbeek) under the name Tyrimex.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”1996″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]The famous Monsieur Pneus logo, with the photo of Pierre Boonen, was born, creating an immediate buzz.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”2002″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]Interpneu and Tyrimex merged and together moved to the current site in Brussels at avenue L\u00e9onard Mommaerts in Evere.<\/p>\n

This new location had 12 car lifts, one alignment station and around 300 m2<\/sup> of storage space for customers\u2019 tyres.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”2005″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]The Evere centre gained a second alignment station.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”2013″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]Monsieur Pneus set up a Tyre Hotel opposite the centre in Evere. Now with over 3,000 m2<\/sup> of storage space, we could store up to 50,000 tyres for customers.<\/p>\n

[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”2016″ clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]S\u00e9bastian Boonen joined in and purchased the location in Genval from his father, Pierre.[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son date=”PRESENT DAY” clr=”#ffffff” arrowclr=”#ffffff” bgclr=”#009ee2″]Monsieur Pneus now has two ideal locations in Brussels and Genval.<\/p>\n

The centre in Brussels has 24 car lifts and 2 alignment stations, while the one in Genval has 8 car lifts and 1 alignment station.<\/p>\n

With around 30 employees, our tightly knit team who are always receiving additional training can offer a high quality service and expert advice.<\/p>\n
